Coffee… what is it good for? Absolutely everything!
Coffee.
How does it work?
Does anyone really even know?
You’ve probably read it all before…
“Coffee will make you live longer”
“If you drink 4 coffees a day you’ll grow an inch taller in 3 years” or whatever the ridiculous headline is that particular week. We can’t even count the amount of studies presently trying to figure what exactly this cup of goodness does for us, but you can be sure we’ll continue to use any headline as an excuse to justify our love for the liquid gold!
Coffee is the first thing we think of in the morning, and it’s what we’re looking forward to when we go to bed at night… so we thought the least we could do was ask ‘Dr. Google’ what the potential benefits of our little habit could be.
Our friends online insist “coffee is actually very healthy” and their top 13 reasons why are:
Coffee can improve your energy levels and even make you smarter
Coffee can help burn fat
The caffeine in coffee can improve physical performance
Coffee is full of essential nutrients
Coffee may lower your risk of type II Diabetes
Coffee may protect you from Alzheimer’s
Caffeine may lower the risk of Parkinson’s
Coffee appears to have protective effects on the liver
Coffee can fight depression and make you happier
Coffee drinkers have a lower risk of some types of cancer
Coffee does not cause heart disease and may lower the risk of a stroke
Coffee may help you live longer
Coffee is the biggest source of antioxidants in the western diet
So, it’s settled – coffee is good for you, and we don’t care what anyone else has to say.
Better yet, by sharing this information with you we’ve justified your daily cup of coffee (or two!) too.
See you in the morning…
